I’ve had a lifelong passion for art, encouraged from an early age through creative coursework beginning in elementary school. I went on to study at James Madison University, where I earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design.
With extensive experience across both print and digital design, my work spans a wide range of disciplines—from branding and marketing campaigns to large-scale publication design. I’ve developed award-winning creative that blends refined, understated typography with thoughtful photo and illustration editing to create compelling visual storytelling. I’m deeply committed to craftsmanship and take pride in maintaining a high level of quality in every detail.
Currently, I serve as Art Director at NACS (the Association for Convenience Stores), where I was brought on to help build the organization’s in-house creative team from the ground up. I lead the design direction for the organization’s flagship monthly magazine, while also helping establish team priorities, workflows, production calendars, and project management systems. In addition to overseeing all design efforts, I collaborate closely with another designer to produce a high-volume, complex publication each month.
Prior to NACS, I managed the in-house creative studio at Alarm.com, where I led a multidisciplinary team of 11 designers across video, print, and web. Supporting more than 600 employees, I played a key role in strengthening brand cohesion and elevating marketing effectiveness. I also oversaw departmental budgets, optimized internal processes, and delivered high-impact campaigns. Highlights include:
Spearheading the launch of a new sales and marketing portal, increasing partner engagement by 200% within three months
Partnering with the Creative Director to redefine branding for both B2B and B2C subsidiaries, improving consistency and campaign performance
Fostering company culture and engagement as an active member of the Social Committee
Before that, I spent 4.5 years at Total Wine & More, where I was responsible for elevating creative strategy across a wide range of marketing initiatives contributing to over $5 billion in annual sales. As a creative lead on a team of 12, I developed integrated campaigns, directed both on-site and large-scale off-site photo and video shoots, and thrived in a fast-paced, high-volume environment that demanded both big-picture thinking and hands-on execution.
Earlier in my career, I worked at Fathom Creative, a branding agency where I managed multiple projects simultaneously for major clients, with a focus on brand identity and conference/exhibit design.
I also spent 11 years at NBAA as an Art Director, where I built a magazine from the ground up and led creative across branding, marketing materials, and seven annual exhibits. Over time, I expanded into photography—art directing shoots, then stepping behind the camera myself to photograph member companies nationwide and develop a distinctive visual library for the brand. While design is my first language, photography is a close second.
Thank you for taking the time to review my work. I welcome the opportunity to connect—whether for feedback, collaboration, or future projects.
